Paddington The Musical
Paddington The Musical brings Michael Bond’s beloved bear to the stage, following Paddington as he arrives in London from Peru in search of a home. Taken in by the Brown family, he soon finds himself at the centre of a lively adventure involving family troubles, unexpected danger and, naturally, plenty of marmalade. The story is inspired by Bond’s books and the successful Paddington films.
The musical features music and lyrics by Tom Fletcher and a book by Jessica Swale. Luke Sheppard directs, with choreography by Ellen Kane. Tahra Zafar designed Paddington and the show’s puppetry, while Tom Pye created the scenic design.
The production premiered in London’s West End in 2025 and became a major critical success. At the 2026 Olivier Awards, it won seven awards, including Best New Musical.
Paddington The Musical transfers to Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre in 2027, beginning performances on March 30 ahead of an official opening on April 18.
