Synopsis
The first act focuses on Seurat’s intense devotion to his art, which strains his relationship with his muse and lover, Dot.
The second act jumps forward to the 1980s, introducing Seurat’s fictional great-grandson, George, an artist facing his own creative challenges and questions about artistic integrity, innovation, and legacy.
The musical explores themes of obsession, the creative process, the need for connection, and the search for meaning in art and life.
