The award-winning hit musical Avenue Q is making its long-awaited return to the West End.
From Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez, the co-creator of The Book of Mormon, the laugh-out-loud show opens at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre from 20 March to 29 August 2026, with tickets on sale now.
Winner of the Tony ‘Triple Crown’ for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book, Avenue Q first arrived in the West End in 2006, playing more than 1,100 performances across the Noël Coward, Gielgud and Wyndham’s Theatres.
Now, it’s back to delight a new generation of fans with its mischievous humor, clever songs and cast of wonderfully expressive puppets.
Set on a downtown New York street, Avenue Q follows a group of quirky neighbors – both human and puppet – as they tackle life’s big questions about love, work, relationships and growing up in the real world.
Casting for the new West End revival will be announced in due course.
