Spring 2026 is looking brighter for Broadway fans thanks to a new staging of Beaches, the musical adaptation of Iris Rainer Dart’s beloved novel.

After a celebrated premiere at Canada’s Theatre Calgary, Jessica Vosk and Kelli Barrett will reprise their leading roles as Cee Cee and Bertie.

The production will open at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre, beginning previews on March 27, 2026, and opening night scheduled for April 22.

The show will run for a limited time through September 6 before launching a national tour.

Returning with the leads are co-directors Lonny Price and Matt Cowart, keeping continuity from the original creative team in Calgary.

The story of Beaches follows the enduring friendship between the reserved Bertie and the larger-than-life Cee Cee.

The tale first touched readers in 1985 and became a classic film in 1988, starring Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey.

Since then, it’s inspired a Lifetime remake with Idina Menzel and Nia Long, and has been making its way to the Broadway stage for over a decade.

The new Broadway adaptation features a book by Iris Rainer Dart and Thom Thomas, music by Mike Stoller, and lyrics by Dart.

Tickets, on sale from January, are available at BeachesTheMusical.com.
