The iconic mother-daughter body-swap story is getting a vibrant stage reboot, as Freaky Friday The Musical prepares for its UK premiere at HOME Manchester from 27 November 2025.

Directed by Andy Fickman, the creative mind behind the stage version of Heathers, this musical adaptation reimagines the 1972 Mary Rodgers novel and the hit Disney films for a new generation.

Stepping into the magical mayhem are Rebecca Lock as Katherine and Jena Pandya as Ellie – a mismatched duo forced to walk in each other’s shoes for a day.
