Get ready to relive all your 90s teen dreams because Clueless, The Musical is finally making its way to London’s West End!
Starting from 15 February 2025, the iconic tale of Beverly Hills’ most popular matchmaker, Cher Horowitz, will take centre stage at the Trafalgar Theatre. Tickets are on sale now here.
Based on the beloved Paramount Pictures film by Amy Heckerling, which itself was a cheeky nod to Jane Austen’s Emma, the musical promises to be a totally rad reimagining with a fresh score and a majorly talented creative team.
At the helm is Amy Heckerling, who not only wrote and directed the original film but now lends her voice to the musical’s book as well.
She’s joined by the multi-platinum sensation KT Tunstall, who’s responsible for the music, blending nostalgic 90s vibes with a modern twist. Remember hits like Suddenly I See? Yep, that’s KT!
Lyrics come from none other than Glenn Slater, a three-time Tony Award nominee and Grammy Award winner, known for his work on Tangled, The Little Mermaid and Sister Act.
Rachel Kavanaugh takes the reins as director, while Olivier Award-winning Kelly Devine, best known for her work on Come From Away, handles choreography.
Cher Horowitz is a matchmaking maven at Beverly Hills High, always ready to help her friends find love – even if her plans don’t always go off without a hitch.
When Cher decides to give the school’s new girl, Tai, a makeover and set her up with the most desirable boy on campus, things quickly spiral into a stylishly chaotic adventure of love, friendship, and self-discovery.
With its blend of humour, heart, and fashion moments that are, like, totally iconic, Clueless, The Musical is set to be an unmissable addition to the West End.
Amy Heckerling said: “I am so delighted to announce that Clueless is now a musical with all-new songs. So if you loved the movie but didn’t understand why no one was singing, this is just for you. And if you’re meeting the characters for the first time, that’s cool, they totally rock. Hope to see you there!”
Who’s ready to be totally buggin’?
