The glittering world of Jay Gatsby is set to dazzle London next year as The Great Gatsby musical makes its UK debut.
Following a popular Broadway run, the lavish production, will bring F Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 classic to life for London audiences.
The Great Gatsby, known for its tale of ambition, love, and the seductive pull of the American Dream, is set to run from 11 April to 7 September 2025 at the London Coliseum.
With a book by Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones), a original score by Tony nominees Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square), and direction from Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), this adaptation promises an experience as rich as Gatsby’s famed parties.
The original Broadway cast is led by Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada. Casting for London is to be revealed.
The creative team includes choreographer Dominique Kelley, Tony Award-winning costume designer Linda Cho, scenic and projection designer Paul Tate de Poo III, lighting designer Cory Pattak, sound designer Brian Ronan, and hair and wig designers Charles G LaPointe and Rachael Geier.
Arrangements are by Jason Howland, with orchestrations by Howland and Kim Scharnberg, and Grammy Award winner Billy Jay Stein from Strike Audio serves as music producer.
Chunsoo Shin, the lead producer, said: “I am thrilled to bring this timeless, glamorous and resplendent production to the U.K.’s West End, after such success in the U.S. and on Broadway.
The London Coliseum is a spectacular venue that complements the lavish aesthetic and vibrant energy of our show. With its grand architecture and historic charm, it offers the perfect setting to transport audiences back to the opulence of the 1920s.”
