Center Stage Records has released a brand new 3-track EP from new musical It’s Kind of a Funny Story.
The in-development show has music and lyrics by Drew Gasparini and a book by Alex Brightman.
Available now on all digital platforms, the EP offers fans a first listen to the show that has been creating buzz since its early workshop days.
The EP features performances from some of Broadway’s biggest talents.
Casey Likes delivers “Where I’m At,” backed by Rozie Baker. Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart takes on “What the Get,” while Isabella Esler and Jackson Chase perform the duet “The Question Game.”
It’s Kind of a Funny Story first made waves with a 54 Below concert that drew widespread attention online.
A recent sold-out reading at Powerhouse Theater, directed by Sarna Lapine, marked another step forward for the show, which is based on the Focus Features film and the book by Ned Vizzini.
