Jeremy Jordan is heading back to the Jazz Age.
The Tony-nominated actor will return to the title role in The Great Gatsby on Broadway beginning November 10 at the Broadway Theatre.
Jordan originally played Jay Gatsby in the musical’s world premiere at New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse and continued with the role when the show opened on Broadway in spring 2024.
He now returns to the part after a brief departure to star in Floyd Collins, which earned him a 2025 Tony nomination.
He replaces Ryan McCartan, who took over the role earlier this year and will give his final performance on November 9.
Jordan will share the stage with Aisha Jackson as Daisy Buchanan, alongside Michael Maliakel as Nick Carraway, Samantha Pauly as Jordan Baker, Austin Colby as Tom Buchanan, Linedy Genao as Myrtle Wilson, Charlie Pollock as George Wilson and Eric Anderson as Meyer Wolfsheim.
Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic 1925 novel – which marks its 100th anniversary this year – the musical follows the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his obsessive pursuit to reunite with his former love, Daisy.
With music and lyrics by Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen, and a book by Kait Kerrigan, The Great Gatsby is directed by Marc Bruni and choreographed by Dominique Kelley.
