The upcoming concept album for Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis’ new musical Warriors has unveiled its complete cast—and it’s packed with star power.
Set for release on 18 October via Atlantic Records, the album offers a fresh take on The Warriors.
The latest names on the record are Jasmine Cephas Jones as Swan, Julia K Harriman as Mercy, Gizel Jiménez as Rembrandt, Amber Gray as Ajax, Aneesa Folds as Cleon, Sasha Hutchings as Cowgirl, Kenita Miller as Cochise, and Phillipa Soo as Fox.
Joining the impressive cast is none other than eight-time Grammy-winning rapper Ms. Lauryn Hill, who will play Cyrus of The Gramercy Riffs.
Busta Rhymes takes on The Voice of Brooklyn, while Nas, the album’s executive producer, will portray Queens. Colman Domingo will step into the role of Masai, the leader of the Gramercy Riffs.
The cast also includes Stephen Sanchez as Cal, Joshua Henry as Wanya, and Timothy Hughes as Lance—part of the group called The Bizzies. Rap artists Ghostface Killah and RZA will voice Staten Island, while the Bronx is represented by Marc Anthony, Luis Figueroa, Flaco Navaja, and Chris Rivers.

The original film, which hit cinemas in 1979, follows a street gang in New York City struggling to make it back to Coney Island after being framed for murder.
Fans might wonder whether Warriors is destined for the stage, following in the footsteps of concept albums like Jesus Christ Superstar and Hadestown, which both eventually became full-blown musicals.
While nothing has been officially confirmed, given Miranda’s track record—and the sheer talent involved—it wouldn’t be surprising to see Warriors leap from the album to the stage.
For now, the concept album is set to drop on 18 October, and pre-orders are already available at WarriorsAlbum.com.
