The first trailer for Kiss of the Spider Woman is here, offering a moody, stylish preview of the new film adaptation of the 1992 Kander and Ebb musical.
Jennifer Lopez stars as the mysterious Aurora, with Diego Luna as political prisoner Valentin and Tonatiuh as Molina, his cellmate in an Argentine prison.
Directed and written by Dreamgirls’ Bill Condon, the film hits cinemas on 10 October 2025.
Based on Manuel Puig’s novel, the story follows Molina, a gay window dresser, who escapes prison life by retelling films starring his idol Aurora. But her darkest role – the Spider Woman – haunts him.
The cast also includes Josefina Scaglione, Bruno Bichir and Aline Mayagoitia.
Lopez steps into a role made iconic on stage by Chita Rivera, with a legacy continued by Vanessa Williams.
