A Broadway smash hit is taking center stage on your game shelf.
Monopoly has joined forces with Hamilton for a special edition of the classic board game, in celebration of the musical’s 10th anniversary.
The Op Games has announced this Hamilton-themed version, giving fans a chance to compete for top billing with their favorite songs from the show.
Players can now buy, sell and trade showstoppers like My Shot and The Schuyler Sisters as part of the gameplay.
But it’s not just about building a Broadway empire. Be ready for taxes, duels, and political scandals as you make your way around the board.
Players can choose from six custom tokens inspired by Hamilton, including a quill and ink, microphone, tricornered hat, and even a crown.
Instead of houses and hotels, you’ll collect letters and federalist papers, and Community Chest and Chance cards have become Burr and Hamilton cards. Even the money celebrates the iconic characters.
Dane Chapin, CEO of the Op, shared, “With ‘Hamilton’ still making headlines and sparking joy 10 years later, we couldn’t think of a better Broadway show to bring to life on the tabletop.”
For those less familiar, Hamilton has been one of Broadway’s biggest success stories.
Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning musical debuted a decade ago and quickly made history, earning 11 Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The musical continues to resonate, blending hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and classic musical theatre.
You can grab Monopoly Hamilton at the theater, at Barnes & Noble, or online through the show’s website.
