Musical Con is back in London for its third year, and it’s bigger than ever!
On 19 and 20 October, London’s ExCeL Centre will transform into a musical theatre wonderland for a weekend packed with performances, panels, and exclusive fan experiences.
Over 10,000 fans are expected to join the fun, with more than 100 special guests from the West End and Broadway, and over 100 hours of programming across the two days.
This year’s highlights include show spotlights on some of the biggest West End productions. Fans can look forward to performances and interviews with cast and creatives from Hadestown, Why Am I So Single, Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Hamilton, and Oliver!, Cameron Mackintosh’s highly anticipated new production.
The opening and closing ceremonies promise to be equally spectacular, with performances by stars like Layton Williams, best known for Cabaret and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
Broadway and West End stars will be in the spotlight, with special guest appearances by Todrick Hall (Burlesque, Chicago, Kinky Boots) and the weekend’s Guest of Honour, the legendary André De Shields. Best known for his role as Hermes in Hadestown, De Shields is a Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award winner, making his appearance a major highlight.
New musicals also take centre stage, with performances from Fly More Than You Fall featuring Greatest Showman star Keala Settle, Title Of The Show starring Jacob Fowler (Heathers), and Fiyago starring Aimee Atkinson (Pretty Woman).
This year, fans will have plenty of chances to meet their favourite stars. From interactive panels with the cast of Mean Girls, to meet-and-greet opportunities with winners of ITV’s Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream Tobias Turley and Stevie Doc, the event is packed with fan-favourite moments.
There are also photo and autograph experiences on offer, allowing fans to get up close and personal with musical theatre’s biggest names.
Musical Con will also offer workshops and masterclasses taught by West End stars and creatives, giving fans a chance to learn from the best in the business.
There will also be behind-the-scenes demonstrations of puppetry, makeup, costume, and set design, where attendees can see how the magic happens on stage.
Fan competitions will keep the energy high, with events like Cosplay, Lip Sync Battles, and the Star of Musical Con contest. The marketplace is packed with stage-related businesses, offering exclusive merchandise and unique experiences.
Expect photo ops from major shows like Disney’s Hercules, Mary Poppins, Matilda The Musical, and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals.
