Hit musical Once will return to the stage in a new revival from the original creative team.
The return of this show has been talked about for a while, and now it is set for its Scottish premiere at Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
The work will be led by director John Tiffany, with design by Bob Crowley, movement by Steven Hoggett, and music work by Martin Lowe.
The musical is based on the 2007 film that won wide praise for its simple and warm charm. The song Falling Slowly became a huge part of its rise and won an Oscar.
The stage version first opened in 2012 and went on to win eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The story follows a street musician in Dublin who is close to giving up on his songs. That is when he meets a young woman from the Czech Republic who pushes him to keep going. With help from a small group of players, the two set out to make an album that may change their lives.
The new run in Pitlochry will take place in the main space from 23 May to 27 June 2026.
