Original Hadestown Stars Set to Reunite in the West End

Eva Noblezada and Reeve Carney in Hadestown

The original Broadway stars of the hit musical are heading back to London for a strictly limited five-week season in early 2025.

With music, lyrics, and book by Grammy winner Anaïs Mitchell and direction by Tony Award-winning Rachel Chavkin, Hadestown has become a global sensation.

Combining Greek mythology with an irresistible blend of folk, jazz, and blues, the show tells the intertwining love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice, alongside Hades and Persephone, as they navigate the underworld and beyond.

The production first captured UK audiences during its sold-out 2018 National Theatre run before transferring to Broadway, where it swept the awards season, including eight Tony Awards.

Now, André De Shields (Hermes), Eva Noblezada (Eurydice), Reeve Carney (Orpheus), Amber Gray (Persephone), and Patrick Page (Hades) will reunite in the West End.

Their performances begin on 11 February 2025, following the departure of the current cast on 9 February. The season runs until 9 March 2025.

Tickets for this must-see event will be available to the show’s mailing list subscribers from tomorrow (19 December) at 12pm UK time. General sale begins on Friday 20 December at 12pm UK time.

Further casting announcements are expected soon.

If you missed Hadestown the first time, this is your chance to journey to the underworld – and back – with the original stars who brought it to life.
