Shucked has confirmed plans for its UK premiere in 2025.

The hit comedy musical, which took New York by storm when it opened in March 2023, will make its British debut as part of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s 2025 season. This marks the first season under the venue’s new artistic director, Drew McOnie.

The production runs from Saturday 10 May through to  Saturday 14 June 2025.

Shucked takes place in the rural town of Cob County, where corn is more than just a crop, it’s the lifeblood of the entire community.

But when the corn starts failing, a young woman named Maizy ventures beyond the county’s borders to find help.

What follows is a whirlwind of misunderstandings, surprises and a whole lot of heart, all wrapped up in a toe-tapping country-inspired score.

The musical has a book by Tony Award winner Robert Horn and songs by Grammy-winning songwriters Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally.
