Sinatra The Musical is officially heading to the West End, with performances slated to begin at the Aldwych Theatre on June 3, 2026.
After its initial run at Birmingham Rep in 2023, the musical, which captures pivotal moments in Frank Sinatra’s journey, will now reach a London stage audience for the first time.
The show mines Sinatra’s early years, beginning on New Year’s Eve 1942 as he steps onto the Paramount Theatre stage in New York – a night that set the stage for his leap to stardom.
Packed with over 20 classic hits like That’s Life, One for My Baby, The Best Is Yet To Come, and Come Fly With Me, the production promises a soundtrack familiar to fans old and new.
Tina Sinatra sees the show as a personal tribute, noting that it “reveals a more intimate portrait of the man than any interview or headline ever could. And just like my dad, it’s full of music and passion and humour. I am so proud to share his story – our story – at long last.”
The book is by Joe DiPietro, whose credits include Memphis and Diana. Joe shared that Tina gave him “unprecedented access to her dad’s personal story,” allowing the creative team to shape “the most revealing portrait ever told about the legend that is Frank Sinatra.”
Kathleen Marshall, celebrated for her work on Broadway and in the UK, directs and choreographs the show. She’s joined by set designer Peter McKintosh, music supervisor Gareth Valentine, and a team handling everything from lighting and costumes to orchestrations and arrangements.
The show is produced by Michele Anthony and Bruce Resnikoff for Universal Music Group Theatrical, alongside Tina Sinatra and Charles Pignone. It marks the first major collaboration between Frank Sinatra Enterprises and Universal Music Group Theatrical, aiming to introduce Sinatra’s music to a new generation.
Casting for the West End run is still to be announced.
