The upcoming stage adaptation of The Greatest Showman will make its world premiere in London in 2026, according to reports.

Disney announced at the weekend that it was developing a fully fledged stage version of the hit musical movie.

While no further details have been officially confirmed just yet, rumor has it that the show will make its premiere in London at the West End’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Before then, a try-out production will take place in Bristol, per a report in the New York Post.

It’s also claimed that Casey Nicolaw will be helming the project as director.

Tony-award winner Nicolaw has a host of Broadway musical credits including The Book of Mormon, Mean Girls and The Prom. He also brought Disney’s Aladdin to the stage in 2014.

With a score by Dear Evan Hansen’s Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the original film, which tells the captivating story of circus impresario PT Barnum, was a massive hit, earning a staggering $435 million worldwide.

The soundtrack is packed with memorable tunes like “The Greatest Show”, “A Million Dreams”, “Rewrite the Stars”, and “From Now On,” all of which are set to make their way into the stage production.
