Award-nominated off-Broadway hit The Mad Ones is heading to London, with a four-week run at the Other Palace Studio from 7 May to 1 June 2025.

This poignant and deeply personal musical follows Samantha Brown, a high school senior navigating the complexities of grief and self-discovery after losing her best friend, Kelly.

Originally premiering off-Broadway in 2017 under the title The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown, the show has since achieved a cult following online.

Its rise to popularity includes millions of YouTube views and the remarkable sale of over 15,000 pieces of sheet music—all before the musical became widely available for licensing.

London audiences got a taste of the show earlier this year, thanks to a warmly received run at Birmingham’s Old Joint Stock Theatre. Now, the full production is making its London debut.

Written by Bree Lowdermilk (music) and Kait Kerrigan (book and lyrics), the show is directed by Emily Susanne Lloyd, with musical direction by Callum Thompson.

A studio cast album featuring Krystina Alabado, Emma Hunton, Ben Fankhauser and Katie Thompson is available to stream now.
