Ahead of its limited two-week run at London’s The Other Palace, the new musical TINK has unveiled a music video for the song ‘Loyal’.
Performed by the show’s composer and solo star Kat Kleve, known for her roles in Once and Brief Encounter, ‘Loyal’ captures the heartache of friendship breakups, proving they can sting just as much as romantic ones.
In the song, Tink—a 16-year-old girl—is grappling with the pain of losing her best friend to a cooler crowd, leaving her to navigate the fallout alone.
After a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023, TINK will hit The Other Palace Studio from 8 – 20 October 2024, bringing its modern fairy tale to London audiences.
Far from a Peter Pan rehash or a Tinker Bell origin story, TINK dives into the messiness of growing up with a raw, unfiltered lens.
The musical is about a shrinking fairy on a journey to answer one big question: Why do so many girls who start out bold, loud, and unapologetic end up shrinking just when they should be soaring?
It’s a fierce, untamed fairy tale for anyone who’s ever felt they were losing their spark just when they needed it most.
The creative team includes writer and director Lizzy Connolly with Rosanna Bates as movement director, Kate Marlais as sound designer, Rachael Duthie as lighting designer, and Kiki Stevenson as producer on behalf of The Other Palace.
