It’s official: Waitress: The Musical, starring Sara Bareilles, will be available to stream just in time for Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025.

For fans who couldn’t catch the theatrical screening in December 2023, this is your chance to experience the magic from the comfort of your own sofa.

The filmed version, which brought the beloved Broadway production to the big screen, is already available to rent or purchase on digital platforms, DVD, and Blu-ray—but will soon be available to stream.

Those in the US will be able to watch the proshot on Max, while in the UK it will be available to stream on National Theatre at Home.

Waitress Jenna Hunterson, a small-town waitress and pie-making prodigy, as she navigates life in an unfulfilling marriage while dreaming of a better future.

When a nearby baking contest offers her the chance to escape, Jenna embarks on a journey of self-discovery, supported by her quirky and loyal fellow waitresses. Along the way, she finds an unexpected romance and begins to rediscover her forgotten dreams.

The musical—written by Sara Bareilles, who also stars as Jenna in this filmed production—reminds us of the power of friendship, the courage to rewrite your story, and the beauty of a perfectly baked pie.

Joining Sara are a host of Broadway powerhouses, including Eric Anderson, Charity Angél Dawson, Christopher Fitzgerald, Drew Gehling, Caitlin Houlahan, Dakin Matthews, and Joe Tippett.

The ensemble is made up of Tyrone Davis Jr., Matt DeAngelis, Andrew Fitch, Henry Gottfried, Molly Jobe, Emily Koch, Max Kumangai, Anastacia McCleskey, Gerianne Pérez, Stephanie Torns, and Nyla Watson.

The film was directed by Brett Sullivan, with stage direction by Tony Award-winning Diane Paulus and a creative assist from Jessie Nelson.
