First Look at Here & Now – The Official Steps Musical

The world premiere of Here & Now – The Official Steps Musical has officially hit the stage at the UK’s Birmingham Alexandra theatre .

The show, co-produced by Steps, ROYO, and Pete Waterman, is running for a limited time until 30 November 2024 ahead of a UK tour.

Directed by Rachel Kavanaugh and featuring choreography by Olivier Award-winner Matt Cole, the musical showcases an original book by Shaun Kitchener.

It brings together drama, comedy, and Steps’ most beloved hits to create a lively and emotional theatrical experience.

Set in the seaside superstore Better Best Bargains, Here & Now takes audiences on a wild ride of friendship, heartbreak, and hope. At the centre of the story is Caz, played by Rebecca Lock, whose seemingly perfect summer unravels when the secrets on the store’s shelves come tumbling out.

The cast also features Hiba Elchikhe as Neeta, Sharlene Hector as Vel and Blake Patrick Anderson as Robbie with Finty Williams, Dan Partridge, Helen Colby, Gary Milner, River Medway, Edward Baker Duly and John Stacey, as Patricia, Ben, Tracey, Gareth, Jem, Max and Lesley respectively.

Following its run in Birmingham, a UK tour will launch in August 2025.
