The Royal Shakespeare Company has just dropped new production images for Matilda The Musical, and they’re nothing short of magical.

This multi-award-winning show, which is now in its 13th year in London, continues to enchant audiences at the Cambridge Theatre, and there’s even better news: the run has been extended, with bookings now open through to 24 May 2026.

A fresh crop of talent recently took over the stage.

Joining the cast in the titular role are Angelica Scott, Anna Deikalo, Ava Posniak, and Sophia Saravanan.

Taking on the principal roles, we have Tiffany Graves stepping into the shoes of Mrs Wormwood, Neil McDermott as the bumbling Mr Wormwood, and Eve Norris embodying the kind-hearted Miss Honey.

Kieran Hill will continue to terrify (and entertain) as the fearsome Miss Trunchbull.

New faces also join the adult ensemble, including Pearce Barron, Alex Louize Bird, Reece Budin, Dan Cooke, William Elijah-Lewis, Issy Khogali, Sam Lips, Sam Jeffrey Parkes, Jak Skelly, Ralph Watts, and Dawn Williams.

They join returning cast members Esme Bacalla-Hayes, Ronan Burns, Karina Hind, Sam Lathwood, Gabrielle Davina Smith, and Deborah Tracey.

It’s no surprise that this ‘anarchic’ production about a brilliant and brave young girl with a vivid imagination continues to draw crowds from around the world.

Written by Dennis Kelly, with the infectious music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, and directed by Matthew Warchus, the show is a visual treat with designs by Rob Howell, choreography by Peter Darling, and spectacular effects by Paul Kieve.
