Adam Lambert has dropped a stunning new music video for his performance of Heaven On Their Minds from Jesus Christ Superstar.
Released on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s official YouTube channel, the video captures Lambert’s powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence from the star-studded Hollywood Bowl concerts earlier this year, where he played Judas opposite Tony winner Cynthia Erivo’s groundbreaking portrayal of Jesus.
The production also featured Phillipa Soo as Mary Magdalene, Raúl Esparza as Pontius Pilate, Milo Manheim as Peter, and John Stamos as Herod. The concert drew rave reviews for its bold casting and emotional performances.
Lloyd Webber himself has hinted that the production could return, telling The New York Times: “It would be great to have the pair of them do it in Madison Square Garden or something like that.”
If this new video is any indication, fans would welcome that idea with open arms.
