Jessie J says she almost starred in the Wicked movies, and shared her version of Defying Gravity.
The singer stopped by BBC Radio 2’s Piano Room and surprised us with some unexpected news about her journey with the recent Wicked big screen adaptation.
During her chat with host Vernon Kay, the pop powerhouse revealed, “I auditioned for Wicked the film and I got quite close to the end – I was really proud of myself. I’ve always wanted to sing the song publicly.”
She followed up her confession by putting her signature stamp on Defying Gravity, sharing a live performance that matched her Broadway-sized ambitions.
Who knows, maybe one day we’ll see Jessie joining the cast of the show on stage….
