Jonathan Bailey fans can now see the moment that helped him land his Wicked role.
His audition tape was filmed in true West End fashion during his five-minute call at the Ambassadors Theatre.
The newly shared clip shows Bailey singing a karaoke version of Dancing Through Life from his dressing room table while performing during a play back in 2022.
Speaking on the new Wicked: One Wonderful Night special, Bailey recalled rushing to record the last-minute video.
In the clip, above, the backstage chaos of the West End is fully on display, including the unmistakable sound of the stage manager’s five-minute warning echoing in the background.
In the two-part film adaptation of Wicked, directed by Jon M. Chu, Bailey stars as Fiyero, opposite Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda.
The first part of Wicked hit cinemas on November 27, 2025, with part two following on November 21, 2026.
