Disney’s Hercules is gearing up for its West End premiere, and we’ve got an early taste of the magic.
A new video showcases the show’s five muses – Candace Furbert, Sharlene Hector, Brianna Ogunbawo, Malinda Parris, and Robin Rose-Li – delivering a powerhouse performance of Zero to Hero.
The musical, based on the 1997 Disney film, begins performances at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 6 June.
Luke Brady takes on the title role, joined by Mae Ann Jorolan as Meg, Trevor Dion Nicholas as Phil and Stephen Carlile as Hades. The production is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, following the Hamburg staging that premiered last year.
Featuring music by Alan Menken and lyrics by David Zippel, the show brings back classic hits like Go the Distance and I Won’t Say (I’m in Love), alongside new songs written for the stage.
