Step behind the scenes of Hadestown’s highly anticipated live capture!
We’ve been given an exciting new look of the musical’s upcoming cinema release, with a brand-new featurette revealing how the acclaimed stage production was brought to the big screen.
The newly released video takes viewers inside the filming of Hadestown: The Musical, featuring interviews with members of the cast and creative team alongside footage from the production.
Filmed during the West End production at London’s Lyric Theatre, the live capture reunites all five original Broadway principal cast members: Reeve Carney returns as Orpheus, joined by André De Shields as Hermes, Amber Gray as Persephone, Eva Noblezada as Eurydice and Patrick Page as Hades.
The performances were recorded during the cast’s special limited reunion engagement in London in 2025.
Following its premiere at the Tribeca Festival, Hadestown: The Musical will arrive in North American cinemas on 24 July, with a UK theatrical release set for October.
Winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Anaïs Mitchell’s celebrated retelling of the myths of Orpheus and Eurydice continues to captivate audiences, and this new film promises to preserve one of its most memorable casts for years to come.
The West End production continues to run at the Lyric Theatre, now booking through to 2027, alongside its Broadway counterpart in New York.
