Smash is back – and this time, it’s live on stage.
A new video gives us a first look at the Broadway version of the cult TV series, now in previews at the Imperial Theatre.
Robyn Hurder steps into the spotlight as Ivy Lynn, performing a fresh take on the show’s signature number Let Me Be Your Star.
The cast also includes Caroline Bowman as Karen, Brooks Ashmanskas as Nigel, and Krysta Rodriguez as Tracy.
The musical officially opens 10 April, directed by five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman.
Choreography is by Joshua Bergasse, returning from the original NBC series.
The score comes from Smash originals Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, mixing TV songs with new material. The book is by Rick Elice and Bob Martin.
