Broadway got a special treat on 3 April when Wicked legends Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth reunited onstage more than 20 years after their original run.
Kristin was in the audience for Redwood, the new musical starring Idina at the Nederlander Theatre.
After the show, she joined her former co-star onstage for a surprise performance of For Good, their emotional duet from Wicked.
The crowd loved it, and the video’s already spreading fast online.
Idina is currently playing Jesse in Redwood, which she co-created with Tina Landau. The musical tells the story of a woman at a crossroads in a redwood forest after a life-changing event.
The show features music by Diaz, with lyrics by Diaz and Landau. It’s set to run through 17 August.
Directed by Landau, Redwood also stars De’Adre Aziza, Michael Park, Zachary Noah Piser and Khaila Wilcoxon.
