The 23 April matinee of Sunset Boulevard on Broadway was unexpectedly cancelled due to technical issues.
But Nicole Scherzinger didn’t let the crowd leave without a moment to remember.
After stepping on stage with co-star Tom Francis to announce the cancellation, Nicole returned with her phone, a bullhorn, and a plan.
She played a backing track from her phone and performed With One Look, the first number sung by her character, Norma Desmond.
It wasn’t the full show, but it gave the audience a glimpse of the performance they came to see.
The evening performance went ahead as planned without further issues.
This Jamie Lloyd-directed revival opened in London’s West End in October 2023 before transferring to Broadway in October 2024.
The cast album was released on 25 October and the production runs through 13 July.
