The first glimpse of the Next to Normal filmed performance has landed.
The proshot of the 2008 musical will premiere in the US on PBS Great Performances on 9 May at 9 pm ET. International releases are expected to be announced soon.

Filming took place at Wyndham’s Theatre in London from 9–11 September 2024.
Next to Normal first hit Broadway in 2009, winning three Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
With music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, it tells the story of a mother battling bipolar disorder.
The UK premiere finally arrived in 2023 at Donmar Warehouse, directed by Michael Longhurst.
It transferred to the West End in 2024 with a cast led by Caissie Levy, Jamie Parker, Eleanor Worthington Cox, Jack Wolfe, Trevor Dion Nicholas and Jack Ofrecio.
Standbys included Carolyn Maitland, Ben Heathcote, Lizzy Parker and Jake Reynolds.
The filmed version gives fans a chance to experience the acclaimed London production wherever they are.
