The West End is getting a dazzling dose of high fashion and drama as The Devil Wears Prada musical officially opens at London’s Dominion Theatre.
Leading the charge is Vanessa Williams, who steps into the formidable shoes of Miranda Priestly, bringing the iconic character to life in this reimagined production.
The new trailer offers a tantalising glimpse of the show’s high-energy performances, stylish choreography, and, of course, the jaw-dropping fashion.
Tony winner Jerry Mitchell directs the production which features a score by Elton John and lyrics by Shaina Taub.
Alongside Williams, Georgie Buckland plays Andy Sachs, the ambitious journalist navigating Miranda’s icy world.
Amy Di Bartolomeo (known for her role in SIX: The Musical) stars as Emily, the fashion-forward colleague, James Darch takes on Christian, Rhys Whitfield is Nate, and Olivier winner Matt Henry plays Nigel.
Based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel and the 2006 film starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, The Devil Wears Prada explores the cutthroat world of high fashion.
The story follows Andy Sachs as she becomes Miranda Priestly’s assistant, discovering that success in the industry demands grit, sacrifice, and a sharp eye for style.
Following previews that began on October 24 and a tryout at Theatre Royal Plymouth earlier this year, this West End premiere is now booking through to 2025.
