Masquerade, New York City’s immersive revival The Phantom of the Opera, showcased the new production with a performance on TV this week.
The cast took over the Good Morning America stage as the studio was reimagined as the legendary catacombs of the Paris Opera House for a pair of showstopping performances.
The ensemble delivered the rousing number Masquerade before Nik Walker and Kaley Ann Voorhees’s performance of the title song.
This unique production isn’t your standard retread of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved musical.
Masquerade brings audiences directly into the heart of Gaston Leroux’s tale, inviting us to walk alongside the mysterious Opera Ghost and witness his eerie mentorship of the star soprano Christine Daae.
The experience takes place inside a custom venue at 218 West 57th Street, where it is currently playing to 5 July.
