Fans of Girls Aloud have plenty of reasons to hit London’s Lyric Theatre this holiday season.
Nicola Roberts, best known for her pop stardom and as the first Queen Bee on ITV’s The Masked Singer, is currently playing Persephone in Hadestown on the West End.
Nicola brings new life to the role, tackling big numbers like Our Lady of the Underground and Livin’ It Up on Top – performances you can watch in newly released videos.
The musical, which follows the mythic love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice alongside King Hades and Persephone, continues to captivate audiences in London.
Nicola made her West End debut in the revival of City of Angels, and her run as Persephone ends January 18, 2026, with Joy Wielkins taking over the role soon after.
You’ll also catch Desmonda Cathabel as Eurydice, Chris Jarman as Hades, Cedric Neal as Hermes, and Dylan Wood as Orpheus.
Hadestown’s London revival is currently booking to September 2026 alongside the show’s Broadway production and US tour.
Written by Anaïs Mitchell, Hadestown debuted Off-Broadway in 2016 before conquering the National Theatre London in 2018 and Broadway in 2019.
It boasts eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Director, and Best Score, and continues to inspire audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.
