Ragtime began previews at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre on September 26 and officially celebrated opening night October 16.
It’s extended its run through June 14, 2026.
Colin Donnell, Ben Levi Ross, Shaina Taub, John Clay III, Rodd Cyrus, Anna Grace Barlow, Nick Barrington and Tabitha Lawing fill out the principal cast.
Choreography by Ellenore Scott, scenic design by David Korins, and a full slate of top designers bring the world of E.L. Doctorow’s early 20th-century America to vivid life. James Moore helms the original orchestrations performed by a robust 28-piece orchestra.
For those less familiar, Ragtime paints a portrait of New York City during a time of seismic change, weaving together the lives of historical figures like Booker T. Washington, Emma Goldman and Harry Houdini with fictional families searching for meaning, justice and new beginnings.
The show first wowed Broadway in 1998, boasting stars like Brian Stokes Mitchell, Audra McDonald, Marin Mazzie and a young Lea Michele.
