Sam Tutty and Christiani Pitts brought a taste of Broadway to Good Morning America with a medley of songs from Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York).
The musical rom-com that’s been winning hearts on both sides of the Atlantic is currently playing at the Longacre Theatre.

Two Strangers originally premiered under a different name in 2019 and was re-developed by British writers Jim Barne and Kit Buchan before opening at the Kiln Theatre in London in late 2023.
After a sold-out Off-West End run, it transferred to the West End’s Criterion Theatre in April 2024, where its limited season was extended due to demand.
The story centres on Dougal, an impossibly upbeat Brit who flies into New York for his estranged father’s second wedding and is met at the airport by Robin, the no-nonsense sister of the bride.
What begins as an errand to collect the wedding cake turns into an unexpected adventure through the city.
After its West End success and a well-received North American premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, the musical made its Broadway debut in November 2025 at the Longacre Theatre, where Tutty (reprising his role as Dougal) and Pitts (as Robin) continue to lead the cast.
